Position Summary The Marketing & Pursuits Manager will own and lead NPSG Built's marketing, proposal, pursuit, brand, CRM, and business development support functions. This is a hands-on leadership role for a self-starting marketing professional who can operate independently day to day after initial direction and onboarding. This role strengthens NPSG Built's market presence, improves pursuit materials, maintains CRM discipline, and helps position the company for continued growth. The right candidate will organize priorities, manage deadlines, improve systems, ask good questions, communicate clearly, and keep marketing and pursuit activity moving in support of revenue growth and client confidence. The role reports directly to the President and coordinates closely with the Director of Business Development, Director of Preconstruction, Preconstruction Coordinator, and Operations leadership. Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute an annual marketing plan aligned with company growth goals, target markets, pursuit priorities, recruiting needs, and brand positioning.
Own the marketing calendar, including proposals, website updates, social media, events, sponsorships, awards, photography, recruiting campaigns, and client touchpoints.
Translate leadership direction into marketing priorities, campaigns, deadlines, and deliverables.
Recommend process improvements, tools, templates, and content initiatives that improve visibility and pursuit effectiveness.
Manage day-to-day marketing activity independently while keeping the President and key internal partners informed.
Proposals, RFQs, RFPs & Pursuits
Lead proposals, qualifications packages, interviews, presentations, and pursuit materials for public and private opportunities.
Coordinate with Business Development, Preconstruction, Operations, and leadership on RFPs, RFQs, bid invitations, interviews, presentations, and strategic pursuits.
Develop pursuit schedules, compliance matrices, content assignments, review deadlines, production timelines, and final submission requirements.
Review solicitation documents, track addenda, confirm deliverables, and ensure submissions are complete, compliant, branded, and submitted on time.
Develop win themes, differentiators, relevant experience selections, team narratives, project approach language, and client-specific messaging.
Lead proposal kickoff meetings, pursuit check-ins, leadership reviews, and final quality-control reviews.
Improve proposal templates, standard narratives, resumes, project sheets, interview materials, and presentation formats over time.
CRM Ownership & Business Development Support
Serve as the internal owner of Unanet CRM with responsibility for system discipline, data accuracy, reporting, contact management, opportunity tracking, and pursuit history.
Maintain CRM records, including contacts, companies, opportunities, lead sources, pursuit status, proposal deadlines, project history, follow-up tasks, client touchpoints, and BD activity.
Create CRM standards for required fields, naming conventions, opportunity stages, contact updates, follow-up activity, and pursuit documentation.
Support the President and Director of Business Development with pipeline reports, lead tracking, activity summaries, upcoming deadlines, and meeting preparation.
Identify stale opportunities, missing follow-up tasks, incomplete records, duplicate contacts, and data gaps.
Turn CRM information into business development insight, including target client activity, market-sector trends, lead sources, proposal volume, hit rate, and relationship history.
Brand, Content & Digital Marketing
Own brand standards, messaging consistency, visual identity, tone, and professional presentation across proposals, presentations, website, social media, signage, apparel, email templates, recruiting materials, and client-facing documents.
Develop and maintain staff resumes, project descriptions, brochures, qualification statements, market-sector narratives, safety language, bonding/insurance inserts, and boilerplate content.
Maintain an organized content library with project sheets, resumes, references, company overview language, safety information, insurance/bonding information, financial data, OSHA information, market-sector experience, and proposal narratives.
Create project profiles and case studies that communicate scope, challenges, solutions, schedule considerations, client outcomes, and NPSG Built's value-added role.
Own the company's social media presence, with primary emphasis on LinkedIn.
Develop a content calendar highlighting project wins, employee recognition, safety performance, community involvement, client service, thought leadership, company culture, recruiting needs, and market-sector expertise.
Update the website with project photos, press releases, news, project pages, service descriptions, career postings, leadership bios, market-sector pages, and case studies.
Photography, Events, Recruiting & Recognition
Coordinate project photos, jobsite progress images, drone footage, team photos, client testimonials, and completed-project photography.
Work with field and project teams to gather content for proposals, case studies, social media, website updates, recruiting materials, and client presentations.
Plan, lead, or support internal and external events, including career fairs, community outreach, client events, industry events, company functions, and recruiting events.
Coordinate client appreciation, holiday gifts, event follow-up, sponsorship opportunities, and branded client touchpoints with the Director of Business Development.
Support involvement with chambers of commerce, industry associations, charitable initiatives, community events, and recognition programs.
Create recruiting graphics, job announcements, company-life content, culture posts, employment brand materials, press releases, external announcements, and award submissions.
Vendor, Budget & Continuous Improvement
Coordinate outside resources such as website vendors, photographers, videographers, drone providers, printers, graphic designers, apparel vendors, promotional item vendors, and marketing consultants.
Help manage marketing-related spending, quotes, invoices, budget tracking, and vendor performance in coordination with leadership.
Track marketing and pursuit metrics such as proposal volume, pursuit status, hit rate, lead sources, CRM completeness, content updates, website updates, social media consistency, award submissions, and event activity.
Develop repeatable systems, checklists, templates, workflows, and reports that make marketing and pursuit activity more reliable and less reactive.
Maintain a high standard for deadlines, quality control, accuracy, confidentiality, and professional presentation.
Decision-Making & Independence This role is expected to operate with a high degree of independence after onboarding. The Marketing & Pursuits Manager should set priorities, manage deadlines, coordinate with multiple departments, identify what needs to be done, and move work forward without daily task-by-task supervision. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Public Relations, Business, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in marketing, proposal management, communications, business development support, or pursuits; AEC, commercial construction, architecture, engineering, or professional services experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage proposals, RFQs, RFPs, presentations, content libraries, CRM data, and multiple deadlines with minimal supervision.
Strong writing, editing, proofreading, formatting, organizational, and project-management skills.
Strong judgment regarding tone, audience, accuracy, confidentiality, brand consistency, and professional presentation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite/InDesign, Canva or similar tools, LinkedIn, social media scheduling tools, and CRM platforms.
Experience with Unanet, Procore, BuildingConnected, or AEC-related platforms is strongly preferred.
Comfort using modern marketing tools, Copilot or AI-assisted writing/research tools, and digital platforms to improve efficiency while maintaining high-quality work product.
