**We’re Hiring: Senior Accountant (Remote – U.S.-Based, EST Preferred) **

We’re looking for a highly driven **Senior Accountant ** to join our growing accounting team. This is a fully remote position (U.S.-based), with a preference for candidates working in the Eastern Time Zone.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of core accounting operations across multiple business lines, including Facultative Reinsurance, Surety, Treaty, and MGU. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely financial processes while helping improve workflows and scalability. This position is also key in enabling the Director of Accounting to focus on strategic oversight and complex decision-making.

**What You’ll Do **

- Own and execute invoicing and cash reconciliation processes across all lines of business

- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies independently

- Maintain accurate, audit-ready financial records and supporting documentation

- Serve as the primary owner of day-to-day accounting workflows, ensuring timely and accurate completion

- Act as the first line of review and problem-solving for accounting processes

- Escalate complex, high-risk, or non-routine issues with clear analysis and recommendations

- Support month-end close and ongoing accounting operations

- Partner with underwriting, claims, and operations teams to ensure alignment across financial data

- Respond to internal and external inquiries with accuracy and urgency

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability

- Maintain and refine SOPs for recurring accounting processes

- Enable the Director of Accounting to focus on strategic oversight by owning day-to-day accounting operations and resolving issues independently

**What We’re Looking For **

- 4–6+ years of accounting experience, preferably in insurance, reinsurance, or high-volume environments

- Strong Excel skills, including reconciliation and data analysis

- Proven ability to manage multiple workflows in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities

- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

**Preferred Qualifications **

- Reinsurance or Surety accounting experience

- Experience in improving accounting processes and workflows

- Familiarity with Monday.com or similar tools

**Education **

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
