General Description This position is a rare opportunity to join an exciting team. The regional North Central Educational Service District 171 (NCESD 171) is seeking a dynamic team player interested in making an impact in the lives of district students and staff as the Regional Science Elementary Specialist for 29 School Districts within our NCESD region. The Regional Science Elementary Specialist coordinates and delivers engaging, hands-on science and safety learning experiences for elementary students across multiple counties. This role includes planning and facilitating large-scale "River of Power" events and providing in-school electrical safety presentations for students in grades 2 and 4. Qualifications Required:
Associate's degree
Preferred
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in education
Science and/or math teaching experience;
Knowledge of and/or experience with the Electrical Safety Program through Grant, Douglas, Chelan, and Okanogan PUDs.
Skills, Knowledge, And/or Abilities
Specific demonstrated organizational ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and Agency partners
Experience in presenting, facilitating, and report writing
Ability to travel within the NCESD 171 region; flexibility in work hours/days
Valid driver's license
Valid first aid card with CPR
