The Materials Lab Engineer supports Norsk Titanium's engineering and manufacturing operations by performing metallographic and materials testing, analysis, and documentation. This role plays a key part in ensuring material quality, supporting customer qualifications, and maintaining robust laboratory standards within a regulated manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
Perform metallographic and materials testing (microscopy, hardness testing, sample preparation)
Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment
Support failure analysis, customer qualifications, and external testing
Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and material traceability
Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience or academic exposure in materials testing or laboratory environments
Familiarity with laboratory documentation and quality systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Strong attention to detail and communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional manufacturing environment
