Coming Soon: Biomedical Librarian Opportunity at the NIH Library
The NIH Library will soon recruit a Librarian (Biomedical), GS-1410-11/12/13, with a full performance level of GS-13 .
This position is well-suited for biomedical information professionals who wish to support the NIH research community through advanced research consultation, scientific information services, data analysis, scholarly communication, and training. Candidates with experience in evidence synthesis and data services, particularly with Python and R, are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities may include:
  • Providing biomedical reference, research consultation, and information services to researchers, clinicians, and leadership
  • Supporting complex scientific and technical information needs
  • Developing innovative approaches to library information management, research support, and user engagement
  • Using tools such as EndNote, Covidence, R, Python, and related platforms to support publication analysis, research impact assessment, and collaboration network studies
  • Advising staff and research communities on data management and scholarly publishing
  • Developing and delivering training on biomedical information resources and analytical tools
