This position is represented by the Anchorage Municipal Employee Association (AMEA) and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the Union. DEPARTMENT: Planning HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm LOCATION: 4700 Elmore Road Employees who are hired or rehired to any position shall be placed at the entrance pay step, and advancement from the entrance step to the maximum step within a pay grade shall be by successive steps. Remote work schedule opportunities (telecommuting) may be considered after successful completion of probation, at the discretion of management and with the approval of the department head. Not all positions are eligible for remote work (telecommuting) per PandP 40-40. years of technical experience in engineering, permitting, plan review, surveying, computer assisted design, drafting, project management, or a related field, including one
year enforcing Anchorage land use regulation (AMC, Title 21 or COSA), or at the Plan Reviewer II level with the Municipality of Anchorage, or the equivalent elsewhere
OR Associates degree in Urban Planning, Engineering, Drafting, Statistics, Logistics, or similar discipline, andfive
years of technical experience in engineering, permitting, plan review, surveying, computer assisted design, drafting, project management, or a related field, including one
year enforcing Anchorage land use regulation (AMC, Title 21 or COSA), or at the Plan Reviewer II level with the Municipality of Anchorage, or the equivalent elsewhere.
OR Bachelors degree in Urban Planning, Engineering, Drafting, Statistics, Logistics, or similar discipline, andthree
years of technical experience in engineering, permitting, plan review, surveying, computer assisted design, drafting, project management, or a related field, including one

Must Possess And/or Obtain Satisfactory background check which includes criminal, education, and employment history at time of hire. ::: {empty="true"} ::: Valid State of Alaska Drivers License and satisfactory Driving Record at time of hire.
