About the role
Hiring in the service industry is broken. Workers apply and hear nothing back. Employers post and get flooded with the wrong people. We're building an AI-native, agentic solution to fix the match between workers and businesses in food, retail, and hospitality.
We're starting in a handful of US cities and scaling nationally. This role is based in New York.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an early hire at a venture-backed startup with seasoned entrepreneurs, a strong engineering team, and investors behind it. You'll work directly with the founding team to build from 0 to 1: running experiments, activating both sides of the marketplace, and solving the most important problems.
This is not a defined-lane role. One week you're running outreach to restaurants. Next you're testing a new worker acquisition channel.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Run acquisition experiments on both sides: get employers on board and workers signing up, and figure out the fastest channels
- Get into the field — talk to restaurant managers, hotel operators, workers — and bring back what you learn
- Build and activate community and service industry networks in NYC
- Test messaging, channels, and tactics fast, kill what doesn't work, double down on what does
- Work directly with the founding team to feed real signal into the product and strategy
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We care more about what you've built and how fast you move than years on a resume.
- Has run growth experiments before and can show what worked or didn’t work
- Comfortable talking and building relationships with operators, workers, community organizers
- Hands-on in the service industry: you've worked in food, retail, or hospitality, or have real connections in that world
- High ownership and agency. Sees a gap and acts on it
- Thinks like a builder: what's the fastest way to test this, what do we learn, what's next
