**Job Description**

Mozz is many things. Mostly, it’s Italian. With a touch of Newport sprinkled in. We are a cheesemaking facility, upscale eatery, pizzeria al taglio, cafe and retail market that opened in Newport, June of 2022. We are looking for passionate individuals to join our team who share our excitement about all things food and specialties. This is not just another job. We are fueled by connection. We have an Italian Coffee Program, which means our preparation is simple, but superior. We are looking train a Barista to learn our program to serve hot and cold beverages the MOZZ way. Barista responsibilities include educating guests on our beverage & food menu and up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you have excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks. Experience is preferred but not required as we are willing to train the right person for the role. You should be able to work various shifts. Note: this position’s compensation includes salary and tips. Ultimately, you’ll ensure an excellent cafe experience for our guests.

**Responsibilities**

- Greet guests as they enter

- Discribe our food and beverage menus and know all ingredients in our offerings

- Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)

- Prepare beverages following recipes

- Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries and muffins

- Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)

- Train to learn cheese and deli offerings

- Keep the bar area clean

- Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates

- Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs

- Comply with health and safety regulations

- Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items

**Skills**

- Previous work experience as a Barista or Waiter/Waitress

- Hands-on experience with brewing equipment

- Knowledge of sanitation regulations

- Flexibility to work various shifts

- Basic math skills

- Ability to gauge guests preferences

- Excellent communication skills

- High school diploma; relevant training is a plus

- Ability to multi-task

Job Types: Seasonal, Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
