The Role TikTok Shop Paid Media Specialist This is a high-ownership role for someone who can lead GMV Max strategy, manage significant paid media budgets, and turn TikTok Shop paid media into a profitable growth engine for major brands. You’ll become one of the leads on managing GMV Max for some of MomentIQ’s highest-profile accounts, owning campaign execution, optimization, reporting, and strategic recommendations across accounts with monthly budgets of $250k+. This is not a traditional media buying role where success comes from sitting inside Ads Manager and making minor bid tweaks. TikTok Shop paid media now sits at the center of a full commerce ecosystem: product selection, ROI targets, budget pacing, affiliate content, shoppable video supply, LIVE performance, Seller Center mechanics, promotional strategy, and client expectations. Your job is simple to describe and hard to do:Make GMV Max work profitably, Repeatedly, at scale. This position will be a hybrid role based in Los Angeles. We’re flexible on remote, but prefer team members be LA-based so they can attend in-person events like our creator LIVE showcases. This ecosystem hits different when you can drop by the office on a Tuesday and see an MIQ creator move $250k in GMV in a single LIVE. Have hands-on TikTok Shop paid media experience, ideally with GMV Max
Have managed six-figure monthly paid media budgets, with a strong preference for $250k+ monthly budget ownership
Think in data but understand content - comfortable analyzing performance while identifying the creative, affiliate, product, offer, or LIVE inputs that are driving results
Understand that GMV Max performance depends on the whole TikTok Shop system: hero SKUs, offers, product listings, affiliate videos, shoppable creative, LIVE moments, pricing, inventory, and shop conversion
Are highly motivated, fast-learning, and excited to work on an agile, close-knit team
Are passionate about social commerce, creator commerce, affiliate commerce, and performance marketing
Are incredibly organized and thrive while juggling multiple accounts, budgets, priorities, and deadlines

What You’ll Be Doing Own GMV Max Growth
Lead GMV Max strategy across a portfolio of high-profile TikTok Shop accounts
Manage and optimize Product GMV Max and LIVE GMV Max campaigns with $250k+ monthly budgets
Set, monitor, and optimize budgets, ROI targets, pacing, product selection, creative sources, and scaling decisions
Build paid media roadmaps that drive measurable GMV lift weekly, monthly, and quarterly
Identify when campaigns should scale, hold, reset, narrow to hero SKUs, shift budget, or pause
Act as the paid media expert for account teams, helping brands make decisions across spend, offers, products, creators, content, and LIVE strategy
Performance, Reporting & Optimization
Analyze KPIs including GMV, spend, ROI/ROAS, CVR, AOV, CAC, CPA, take rate, contribution margin, affiliate contribution, product-level performance, and LIVE GMV/hour
Prepare and present data-backed performance reports, insights, and strategic recommendations
Diagnose performance shifts across creative fatigue, offer weakness, product mix issues, affiliate content gaps, inventory constraints, listing conversion issues, LIVE performance, or attribution noise
Track current and prior-period performance, including 14-day GMV, spend, pacing, and channel health
Maintain clean reporting and performance tracking across TikTok Ads Manager, TikTok Seller Center, Google Sheets, Monday.com, and internal dashboards
Turn performance data into clear next steps for Account Managers, clients, leadership, and channel owners
GMV Max Campaign Operations
Operate confidently across TikTok Ads Manager, TikTok Seller Center, Business Center, and TikTok Shop reporting
Manage GMV Max setup, account access, authorization needs, primary ad account implications, product selection, campaign structure, and troubleshooting
Monitor how Product GMV Max and LIVE GMV Max interact with existing shop ads, LIVE campaigns, product campaigns, creator content, and affiliate content
Partner with account teams on Seller Center levers that impact conversion: listings, pricing, promos, bundles, flash sales, campaign registrations, shop health, and compliance
Flag operational issues early when they may impact paid performance, including inventory, fulfillment, product badging, account access, listing quality, or client-side delays
Creative, Affiliate & Content Supply
Partner with affiliate, creator, and content teams to ensure GMV Max has enough high-quality shoppable video and authorized creator content to scale
Give clear feedback on what creative is converting, what hooks or offers are working, and what content gaps are blocking paid growth
Translate paid performance insights into creative briefs, creator guidance, affiliate priorities, and product-angle recommendations
Work with internal teams to ensure top affiliate and brand content is properly authorized, labeled, structured, and available for GMV Max use
Understand that the best GMV Max operators do not just manage spend; they manage the creative and commerce inputs that make the algorithm work
LIVE + Shoppable Commerce Coordination
Monitor LIVE GMV Max performance and identify when LIVE traffic, host quality, offer strategy, product selection, or creative supply is helping or hurting results
Brief teams on hooks, offers, product positioning, hero SKUs, and brand guardrails based on paid media performance
Help identify scaling opportunities across offers, promos, creator mix, content formats, paid affiliate, organic affiliate, and LIVE programming
Client & Cross-Functional Leadership
Join client calls when paid strategy, GMV Max performance, budget pacing, or scaling decisions need a senior paid media operator in the room
Communicate clearly and commercially: what is happening, why it matters, what we recommend, and what action is needed
Work closely with Account Managers, Campaign Coordinators, LIVE teams, Creative teams, Operations, and leadership to make sure paid media is connected to the full TikTok Shop growth plan
Bring a high-ownership mindset to ambiguous problems, especially on fast-moving accounts with large budgets and senior client visibility
Become a trusted advisor internally and externally on how MomentIQ should scale paid TikTok Shop growth
Strong analytical ability across GMV, spend, ROAS/ROI, CVR, AOV, CPA/CAC, take rate, pacing, and margin
Comfort building and maintaining performance trackers, forecasts, reporting views, and action-item workflows
Strong understanding of ecommerce fundamentals: offers, product listings, pricing, bundles, promotions, inventory, conversion, and contribution margin
Clear written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing performance explanations
