**Job Summary**

The Allada Laboratory (alladalab.org) at the Michigan Neuroscience Institute seeks a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow to investigate the molecular, genetic, and circuit mechanisms underlying sleep using mammalian model systems. The successful candidate will apply advanced approaches in mammalian sleep neurobiology, neurogenetics, molecular biology, RNA sequencing, FACS, biochemistry, confocal imaging, behavioral neuroscience, and multi-omic data analysis.

Candidates should possess strong technical expertise in mammalian sleep research and neurogenetics and demonstrate the ability to design, execute, troubleshoot, and interpret complex experiments. The position requires a highly productive, goal-oriented scientist who takes initiative, operates effectively in a fast-paced research environment, and can drive projects forward with a high degree of scientific ownership and accountability.

**Job Summary**

The Allada Laboratory (alladalab.org) at the Michigan Neuroscience Institute seeks a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow to investigate the molecular and circuit mechanisms underlying sleep homeostasis using Drosophila. The successful candidate will apply advanced approaches in Drosophila genetics, molecular biology, RNA sequencing, FACS, biochemistry, confocal imaging, behavioral neuroscience, and multi-omic data analysis.

Candidates should possess strong technical expertise in Drosophila genetics and molecular biology and demonstrate the ability to design, execute, troubleshoot, and interpret complex experiments. Canton Therapy Services is in the Michigan Medicine Canton Health Center at 1051 North Canton Center Rd in Canton, MI. We are a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic that provides Physical and Occupational Therapy services as well as Speech and Language Pathology for individuals with impairments due to acute and chronic neurological, orthopedic, pelvic health, spine, lymphedema, vestibular, and general rehab conditions. **Patient Intake**

- Responds to general patient inquiries about clinic operations within their scope of practice.

- Rooms patients (virtually and in person) and performs standard patient intake including taking vitals and other measurements, medical histories, medication reconciliation documentation, form(s) preparation, relevant screenings, following predetermined protocols and other tasks as assigned.

Michigan Medicine's Adult Diabetes Education Program is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist in their outpatient Diabetes Education Program. In this role, responsibilities include supporting the eHealth research process through patient recruitment, survey distribution, and patient interviews. The position involves collecting, organizing, and managing research data, including abstracting relevant information from the electronic medical record and entering data into a REDCap database. Additional duties include coding interview transcripts and assisting with data organization to support study goals. Through these tasks, the role provides hands-on experience with clinical research methods, patient-centered research, and the overall process of conducting eHealth research.

Required Qualifications*

Required qualifications include experience working with electronic health records (EHR), including reviewing patient charts, abstracting relevant clinical data, and maintaining accuracy and confidentiality when handling patient information.

Desired Qualifications*

Desired qualifications include being a medical student or gap year student with an interest in clinical, patient-centered, or eHealth research. Prior experience with manuscript writing and preparation is preferred, including familiarity with literature reviews, drafting research sections, editing, formatting references, or preparing materials for submission. Candidates should be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with patient data, survey tools, and REDCap. Strong communication skills are also desired, particularly for patient recruitment, interviewing, and collaborating with the research team. Familiarity with qualitative coding, transcript review, or data abstraction is a plus.

**Job Summary**

The Instrument Room perioperative tech, will assist the instrument room staff in transporting between the Central Sterile Processing Department, and the Operating Room, or OR. The runners will deliver the necessary instrumentation , and instrument related items when the staff from a department in CSPD or OR requests.

Responsibilities*

**The Assistants Job Duties Are As Listed**

- Transferring instruments, instrument carts, or implants from the CSPD to the OR, or vice versa

- Putting sterile instruments away on the shelves in the OR area

- Moving/delivering/pickingup carts/bins/racks of used instruments to the OR/CSPD/Hospital and bringing new carts to OR when the lift is not functioning

- Moving carts of sterile instruments to the OR from CSPD when the lift is not functioning

- Taking down implant trays to the OR for restocking, or returning stocked implant trays to the CSPD

- Replacing full sterilization carts in instrument assembly are

- Taking items off instrument lift or placing items on instrument lift

- Assist in loading dirty lift in OR when necessary, due to backup of malfunctioning lift

- Unloading dirty lift with used case carts, and replacing with new case carts

- Sending sterile instruments to the OR for storage

- Moving instruments pans form storage , or replacing instrument pans in storage

- Assisting instrument room staff in retrieving instrument pans form storage when requested

- Storing washed and assembled instruments pans in storage

- Checking various areas on the 1st floor, or in CSPD, regularly for any instruments related needs

- Checking offices for implant trays that have been restocked and are ready to be sent down

- Checking for sterile loads of instruments that ready to be replaced in OR

- Retrieving minor items requested by staff

- Minor cleaning duties, such as wipe down surfaces, organizing work area, replacing trash bags, ect

- Assisting staff in the operation of the instrument lift

- Loading and unloading cart washer

Other duties as assigned

The runner will be supervised by the instrument room manager, and instrument room supervisors. The runner will also work with instrument processors and other OR staff

- Graduation from high school or an equivalent combination of education and experience
