None, Description Partnerships Coordinator (Volunteer) Organization Mentor A Promise (MAP) Location Remote with NYC-based collaboration as needed Type Volunteer (Relationship & Outreach Role) About Mentor A Promise Mentor A Promise (MAP) is a NYC-based nonprofit serving children and youth ages 5–18 experiencing housing instability through mentorship, literacy, social-emotional learning, and creative expression. MAP’s work is powered by partnerships—with schools, shelters, universities, artists, corporations, and community organizations who believe in dignity, stability, and opportunity for every child. Role Overview The Partnerships Coordinator supports MAP’s efforts to build, manage, and grow relationships with organizations and individuals who help make our work possible. This role helps identify opportunities, coordinate outreach, and ensure partners feel connected, respected, and aligned with MAP’s mission. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys relationship-building, coordination, and helping collaborative projects move forward. Key Responsibilities
Support outreach to schools, shelters, nonprofits, universities, and corporate partners
Maintain partnership records, contacts, and communication logs
Coordinate introductory meetings, follow-ups, and partner check-ins
Assist with partnership proposals, decks, and informational materials
Help track partnership goals, commitments, and timelines
Support events, collaborations, and community initiatives
Ensure partners receive timely updates and recognition
Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable coordinating emails, calendars, and documents
Interest in community engagement, nonprofit work, or partnerships
Alignment with MAP’s mission and values
Preferred Skills
Experience in partnerships, outreach, development, or community organizing
Familiarity with Google Workspace
Comfort speaking with a wide range of stakeholders
Experience in education, housing, or youth-serving organizations
Commitment
Volunteer role
Approximately 5–10 hours per week
Minimum 6-month commitment preferred
Fully remote with optional NYC-based collaboration
