About the role
Melinda Maria is looking for a creative, dynamic, and efficient freelance Editor to create branded content and social media, and support marketing needs.
In this role, you will work closely with the Creative team to play a pivotal role in creating elevated pieces of content for campaign launches, short form content, and more. The ideal candidate should have a strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere, an eye for design, a strong sense of visual storytelling, and a proven track record of creative work. Portfolio required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Craft, design, edit, present, prepare, and deliver assets for digital channels in conjunction with Marketing Team
- Keep pace with social media, AI, & design trends, then apply learnings to content creation and share them with the team
- Edit ancillary content for use on our ecommerce site
- Create, manipulate, and refine AI-generated video
- Consistently meet or exceed deadlines
- Work in a team environment and take direction from Art/Marketing Directors amongst others
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of creating for social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.
- 2+ years of professional experience in video editing
- 1+ years with how to manipulate and iterate to perfect AI-created video
- Expert in in-app editorial design and effects
- Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop
- Proficient with After Effects
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
- Proficient with Box, Slack, and G Suite
- Must be local to Los Angeles
- Must be comfortable working on-site
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced experience in Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Cloud programs
- Graphic design experience a plus
- Proficient with creating transcodes (Davinci Resolve preferred)
- Experience in shooting and handling a wide range of video files, from 4K native files to iPhone footage a BIG plus
- Experience with editing various file formats, aspect ratios, and exporting compression types
- Experience working with Asana or other project management software
- Creative problem-solver
- Positive, proactive and able to consistently exercise great judgment
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
- High levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
