Senior Strategist
Location: New York, NY
The Role:
As a Senior Strategist, you are responsible for the creation, management and implementation of day-to-day strategic initiatives on their account. You work closely with the other disciplines in delivering and exceeding client expectations.
What You Do:
• Partner with other strategic planning team members and other agency departments to ensure
that consumer insight is incorporated into marketing programs
• Help shape and implement strategic direction
• Use, understand, and execute various research methodologies to uncover key marketing
opportunities
• Sell strategy and creative executions by communicating consumer knowledge to client
• Positively impact the creative product through sharp insights and inspiration
• Partner with other departments to ensure consumer insight is incorporated into marketing
platforms
• Participate in creation of effective marketing campaigns
• Seek out and apply understanding of consumers’ relationship with the brand and marketing in the category to the development of brand strategy and creative
• Provide insight with aspects of strategy: qualitative, quantitative, behavioral and planning
• Assist in ensuring the quality of the creative brief and briefing process
• Build positive relationships with other departments and clients
• Share daily consumer news and trends with the Agency
• Mentor and guide more junior staff in their development and growth
• Participate in new business
• Any tasks as assigned
What You Bring:
• 3 - 4 years of agency experience
• Culturally plugged in; nimble, and mindful of the way culture is shifting within XX space
• Crisp thinker and communicator – verbally, visually and in writing
• Proactive, self-motivated and ability to navigate high volume
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area required (not necessarily advertising)

Location:
McCann New York team members must reside in or be willing to relocate to the New York Tristate area unless otherwise agreed upon by their manager and McCann New York’s Human Resources team. McCann New York is a hybrid workplace with three days in-office per week.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is: $95,000 - $110,000. Salary ranges depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; the associated discipline market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
