Location: 100% Remote (Preference for EST/CST availability) Duration: 6 Months Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours/week We are seeking a highly analytical, self-directed Senior Data Analyst / Tableau Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support enterprise financial data analysis, reporting, governance, and visualization initiatives for a large-scale university environment. This role will serve as a key individual contributor responsible for analyzing large and complex financial datasets across centralized and decentralized systems, translating technical findings into business insights, and developing executive-level dashboards and reporting solutions that support strategic and operational decision-making. The ideal candidate is an autonomous problem-solver who thrives in complex data environments, can independently manage work with minimal oversight, and possesses strong communication skills with the ability to present findings to executive leadership in business-friendly language. Key Responsibilities Data Analysis & Financial Reporting
Analyze large-scale financial and operational datasets across centralized and decentralized environments
Assess data quality, integrity, accuracy, and completeness
Identify trends, anomalies, gaps, and opportunities for operational and financial improvements
Deliver actionable insights to finance and business stakeholders
Support enterprise reporting and strategic decision-making initiatives
Tableau Dashboard Development & Visualization
Design, develop, and maintain executive-level Tableau dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions
Create visualizations that simplify complex financial and operational data
Develop reporting frameworks to improve visibility into KPIs, financial performance, and operational metrics
Present analytical findings to leadership and translate technical information into meaningful business recommendations
Data Governance & Quality
Support enterprise data governance initiatives and best practices
Validate data consistency across systems and business units
Identify and resolve reporting discrepancies and data quality issues
Assist in developing governance standards, controls, and documentation
Data Extraction & Integration
Extract, manipulate, transform, and consolidate data across multiple platforms and systems
Support reporting automation and data transformation initiatives
Work with structured and semi-structured datasets
Support data mapping and integration activities across enterprise environments
Stakeholder Partnership
Partner with finance, operations, and leadership teams to understand reporting and analytics needs
Provide strategic analytical guidance and reporting recommendations
Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver reporting solutions and business insights

7+ years of experience in:
