The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for supervising the housekeeping staff and ensuring all standards of service are met. In addition, the Housekeeping Manager is responsible for orienting new employees, developing schedules, training, safety, performance management (recognition, discipline, and evaluations), recruiting, and employee relations. The Housekeeping Manager will research and implement new techniques and methods for improving services and safety. The Housekeeping Manager also performs daily housekeeping routines such as cleaning patient rooms, offices, and public areas, while ensuring a safe and risk preventive environment within OSHA regulations. High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associate (AA) degree preferred. Experience may be evaluated on a case by case basis in lieu of a diploma.
Experience
Minimum five (5) years of housekeeping experience with at least one (1) year of management experience required, preferably in a hospital setting.
Computer/Software Programs
Microsoft office suite, and basic computer skills.
Additional Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and organizational and team management skills.
You may be required to work weekends and holidays as needed.
