**The Role**

Lord Abbett seeks a motivated individual to join its Taxable Fixed Income group as a Portfolio Manager. Primary responsibilities will center on portfolio construction of asset-backed securities portfolios and generating excess returns therein . The role provides an opportunity to team-manage one of the industry's largest ABS portfolios in a highly flat and dynamic organization.

**We’ll Trust You To**

-  Generate recommendations and implement ABS trades, leveraging research and risk management resources for decision-making across varying mandates

-  Provide thought leadership and opine on the driving forces of fundamentals, technicals, valuations, and excess returns for the asset class and subsectors within

-  Liaise with portfolio managers to build consensus around portfolio construction and risk targets

-  Deliver positive and consistent excess returns at the portfolio level via both top-down risk positioning and bottom-up credit selection

-  Build and maintain external relationships with trading, banking, and syndicate desks to ensure our firm retains top-of-funnel access to opportunities

-  Maintain analytic integrity of systems and perform credit surveillance of existing positions

-  Shape the future direction and consumption of technological resources to improve investment decisioning and outcomes

**You'll Need To Have**

-  7-15 years of portfolio construction and/or implementation experience in securitized products

-  Deep domain knowledge alongside adept credit underwriting capabilities across the capital stack

-  Ability to articulate investment objectives in a clear and concise manner with internal and external constituents

-  Robust relationships with sell side counterparties, originators, and other market participants

-  Flexible approach to handle a dynamic set of priorities and opportunities against various deadlines

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $225,000 - $250,000 . Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
