Summary of Position Lionsgate is seeking an Assistant, Business and Legal Affairs to support the Employment Legal team in the Santa Monica office. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs, this role provides administrative support to multiple attorneys and plays a key role in contract administration and day-to-day legal operations. Responsibilities
Coordinate scheduling for Employment Legal team meetings, trainings, and events, including calendar management, logistics, and preparation of meeting materials
Manage the contract administration process from initiation through execution, including distributing agreements via DocuSign, tracking status, following up on outstanding items, and processing final documentation
Maintain organized, secure legal files, records, and access controls to support confidentiality, compliance, and efficient retrieval of information
Review, process, and track invoices and related administrative expenses in accordance with internal procedures and deadlines
Track key deadlines, maintain status updates, and follow up on pending legal and administrative matters to help ensure timely completion of assignments
Facilitate legal trainings for HR partners by coordinating scheduling, materials, attendance, and follow-up communications
Serve as a point of contact for routine inquiries from internal stakeholders regarding document workflows, scheduling, and administrative processes
Prepare, proofread, and distribute correspondence, reports, and other materials to support day-to-day legal operations
Support special projects and department initiatives as assigned, contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency
Assist attorneys with preparation for mediations, litigation, investigations, and other legal proceedings, including assembling and organizing relevant materials
Provide general administrative support, including filing, scanning, copying, answering phones, maintaining records, and preparing meeting materials
Qualifications and Skills
1-2 years of administrative work experience
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Works well in a team-oriented environment
Skilled in MS Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
College degree required
Nice to Haves
Interest in the law or attending law school
