Lead Montessori Teachers
Location: Tampa, Florida
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
Hours:
Full Time (8:00am- 4:00pm)
Part Time (8:00am- 1:00pm)
Positions:
Lower Elementary Lead (Kindergarten–3rd Grade, ~20 students, 2 teachers)
Upper Elementary Lead (4th–6th Grade, ~6–10 students, 1 teacher)

Life International Academy is a small, purpose-driven Montessori-inspired school where strong academics, independence, and real-world learning come together.
Our classrooms are calm, structured, and authentically Montessori, supported by intentional planning and data-informed instruction. Students build strong foundations in reading, writing, and mathematics while developing independence and responsibility.

The Opportunity
You will lead a multi-age Montessori classroom that honors Montessori philosophy while integrating nature-based learning, sustainability, and life skills. Teachers guide students academically while fostering independence, responsibility, and global awareness. Each classroom includes outdoor learning through animal care and maintaining a garden, integrated into science and sustainability.
This is a hands-on, low-technology environment for students, supported by strong systems and tools for teachers.

What This Role Requires
This is a structured, high-expectation Montessori environment. As a Lead Teacher, you are responsible for the planning, execution, and outcomes of your classroom.
  • Lead a Lower Elementary or Upper Elementary Montessori classroom
  • Plan and deliver weekly, data-informed Montessori lessons aligned with academic benchmarks
  • Present lessons across math, language, cultural studies including history and geography, and science
  • Use NWEA MAP data to identify gaps and guide instruction, with training provided
  • Observe, assess, and document student progress and development
  • Maintain a calm, well-managed multi-age classroom with clear expectations and routines
  • Prepare and uphold a beautiful, purposeful Montessori environment and materials
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with families
  • Model and actively teach grace, courtesy, responsibility, and independence
  • Lead real-world, life-skills learning including student-led projects, and community work
  • Guide outdoor learning experiences including animal care and classroom gardening, integrating sustainability into instruction
  • Comfortable in a physically active role, including standing, moving, and working outdoors in Florida

Who Thrives Here
  • Montessori certified (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
  • 3–4+ years Montessori experience preferred
  • Strong in planning, organization, and follow-through
  • Comfortable with student data and academic accountability
  • Confident in classroom leadership and structure
  • Comfortable with digital tools such as Google Drive and classroom systems
  • Warm, grounded, and respectful presence with children
  • Able to embrace and support a culturally diverse, international student community
  • Able to pass a background check

Compensation & Benefits
  • $42,000–$55,000 (Full Time)
