We're looking for someone who wants to help cover the news that's important to our Mifflin and Juniata County readers. That person should be community-minded and care about the details. Could you be that person?

The Sentinel, a daily newspaper located in Lewistown, PA,  has an immediate opening for a **part-time news reporte **r. Our market is located in beautiful Central Pennsylvania, located a short drive from Penn State University.

This is a daytime position and areas of coverage may include government meetings, breaking news, crime and court reporting, business news and community features. Prior experience in a college or professional newsroom and familiarity with Google Docs, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop are not requirements, but are definite plusses. This is a part-time hourly position with reimbursement for work-related expenses. Starting hourly rate is based upon the successful candidate's experience and skill level.  Applicants must have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle available in order to perform essential job functions.
