Role Description Seeking a highly motivated Reservoir Engineer to join the asset management team for a growing Kansas operator. This role is central to maximizing the value of our Kansas assets through rigorous technical analysis, reserve estimation, and production optimization. You will work closely with geology and operations teams to evaluate acquisition opportunities, manage existing field performance, and guide capital investment decisions. Key Responsibilities Drive value- growth through project identification and execution -
Work closely with asset team (regulatory, production, land, geology) to identify, prioritize and execute value add projects
Model and conduct full economic evaluations on opportunities to support investment decisions
Primary emphasis on waterfloods, BHPP workovers, new well development opportunities and A&D efforts
Asset Management -
Monitor well profitability and trends, initiating actions when justified
Manage reserve database and conduct bi-annual review process for Kansas operations
Work to incorporate AI-driven tools and platforms, as applicable, to improve data insight, asset efficiency, etc.
Oversee Production Reporting platform to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of production data
Organize and maintain digital well data, technical evaluations, etc.
Support regulatory function with compliance, unitization efforts, permitting, etc.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in oil and gas Production/Reservoir Engineering role
Extensive knowledge of conventional well operations, production optimization, and secondary recovery identification and execution
Comprehensive understanding of oil and gas economics, reserves and financial statements
Aries experience required
Ability to self-direct and multi-task
Be willing to challenge the norms and think outside the box
Strong communication skills across multiple management levels and disciplines
