This role will lead the bank’s talent and leadership development efforts by creating and delivering programs that strengthen individual and team capabilities. It identifies training needs and develops strategies through in‑house learning and external partnerships. HYBRID role Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Leads talent and leadership development function in partnership with the SVP/Human Resources and Senior Management by designing, selecting and/or conducting leadership and teambuilding materials.
Analyzes training needs to design employee development strategies and partners with outside professional associations and colleges to develop individuals and teams within the bank. Develops and/or conducts in-house training/workshops as needed.
Administers Employee Engagement surveys, participates in the planning and selection of vendors and survey structure, drafts and participates in communicating results to the organization, advises individual managers on Action Planning and interpreting results. Coordinates the schedule, topics and structure of the Employee Engagement Advisory Council in partnership with the HR Team and SVP/Human Resources.
In partnership with SVP/Human Resources and Senior Management, assists in the administration of the Bank’s Succession Management plan by updating and preparing documents related to talent and conducting measurements of success.
Assists with the evaluation, selection and administration of performance management system; updates performance management forms and templates; conducts related manager and employee training.
Serves as a contributor to new employee onboarding review of content and recommendation and implementation of enhancements, with the ability to present content, as needed.
Serves as a back-up to the learning management system (LMS) administrator.
Coordinates and administers the bank’s job shadow program and leverages data to enhance managers’ approaches to career development for individual employees where appropriate.
Assists managers and employees with performance and behavior coaching strategies. Advises supervisors on employee relations issues, following bank policies and employment laws.
Prepares various reports in support of established HR metrics, conducts analysis of data and information in recommending and/or implementing HR-related programs and/or improvements.
Interprets the bank’s human resources policies and procedures, responds to manager and employee questions, and follows up on any necessary actions or changes. Contributes to policy, guidelines and handbook revisions to ensure compliance with established regulations in alignment with business needs.
Evaluates exit data and makes recommendations related to employee engagement initiatives, as well as policy, training and other related programs.
Provides support to Benefits Officer including oversight of the Workers’ Compensation, Unemployment Insurance and Short/Long Term Disability policies.
Administers the FMLA/ADA/STD programs in alignment with internal policies and procedures ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, while demonstrating empathy and compassion to employees and working collaboratively with managers.
Performs HR-related and organizational project work including leading applicable projects.

Training and Preparation
A Bachelors’ Degree in Business, Human Resources, Leadership or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required.
Minimum of 5 years prior HR experience to include talent management and employee engagement experience is required.
Experience working with HRIS systems is required; experience with ADP is preferred.
Prior experience and/or exposure to benefits administration is preferred.
CP (Certified Professional) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certificate or other related proficiency designation is preferred.
