About the role

For our client, we are seeking a VP AI Quality Software Engineering (remote) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a regulated financial services environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $210,000 – $220,000 annually
Responsibilities
  • Define and lead the AI software engineering strategy for the organization
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI and intelligent automation to improve quality and performance
  • Partner with senior leaders to align AI initiatives with enterprise technology priorities
  • Establish a roadmap for AI-enabled quality engineering capabilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of AI-powered solutions for quality processes
  • Oversee the delivery of tools that support automated testing and continuous validation
  • Build and mentor high-performing teams of engineers and technical leaders

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, quality engineering, or related disciplines
  • 5+ years of leading large engineering teams and delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions
  • Experience building and implementing AI/ML-driven solutions in relevant environments
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, DevOps, CI/CD, and quality engineering practices
  • Deep knowledge of software architecture, cloud-native development, APIs, and distributed systems
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional transformation initiatives
