About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Veterinary Group Medical Director to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will support high-priority business initiatives that require strong execution, sound judgment, and measurable follow-through. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to clarify priorities, solve operational challenges, and move important work forward. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful outcomes while strengthening the systems and habits that support durable performance within a healthcare environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $120,000 – $180,000 annually
Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop medical leaders to enhance clinician productivity and engagement
  • Serve as a representative and champion of BluePearl's mission and vision
  • Communicate and cascade key initiatives impacting medical staff among field leaders
  • Foster collaborative relationships between the support team and hospitals
  • Ensure appropriate productivity and growth plans for clinicians and hospitals
  • Monitor operating costs and alert hospital leaders to overages
  • Oversee the on-site visit process for DVM candidates and support their onboarding
  • Ensure medical quality and patient safety standards are met
  • Collaborate on veterinarian referral strategies with the Vet Relations team
  • Encourage continuing education programs to engage clinicians and technicians
  • Monitor medical occurrences and client experience for improvements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) required
  • Completion of 1-year rotating internship required
  • May be Emergency Clinician or board-certified Specialty Clinician
  • 7+ years of leadership experience required
  • Experience overseeing multiple sites or revenues exceeding $25MM preferred
