About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Structural Engineering Consultant 2 - Nuclear to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space. This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Energy & Utilities environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $142,710 – $215,440 annually
Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of structural engineers on engineering projects
  • Prepare, review, and provide guidance for design calculations
  • Develop specifications and collaborate with designers on drawing development
  • Guide structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, and foundations
  • Interact with clients and coordinate with engineers from various disciplines
  • Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and on-site construction coordination

Qualifications
  • BS in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Over ten years of experience in design and analysis of industrial, commercial, or nuclear facility structures
  • Proficient in structural analysis software like STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS
  • Familiar with design codes such as ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license required
