About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Security Engineer II Stores Red Team to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a consumer-facing environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $159,300 – $202,400 annually

Responsibilities
- Conduct Red Team engagements targeting infrastructure, cloud services, and AI/ML systems
- Create detailed engagement plans and emulate adversary tactics
- Document timelines, attack paths, findings, and recommendations
- Communicate findings to partner teams, service owners, and leadership
- Examine client systems and applications to discover security weaknesses
- Assess security of AI/ML systems and document vulnerabilities
- Leverage AI/ML to enhance offensive tooling and improve efficiency
- Contribute to red team operations, documentation, and mentoring of team members
Qualifications
- 3+ years programming in Python, Ruby, Go, C++, or similar languages
- Familiarity with AI/ML vulnerability classes like prompt injection and model extraction
- 3+ years in Red Team or offensive security roles
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or 4+ years of hands-on experience in lieu of degree
- Experience with cloud-native red teaming (AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred
