About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Principal Statistician Biostatistics to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a Pharmaceuticals & Biotech environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $132,000 – $198,000 annually

Responsibilities
- Lead statistical aspects of clinical studies from design to reporting
- Optimize study designs and analysis strategies in cross-functional meetings
- Develop and implement study protocols and statistical analysis plans
- Collaborate with study teams to ensure timely completion of reports
- Perform data analysis, validation, and interpretation of results
- Prepare for regulatory meetings and address statistical inquiries from agencies
- Monitor and validate deliverables from external CROs
Qualifications
- MS or MPH in statistics, mathematics, or related discipline with over 2 years experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, or PhD with less than 2 years
- Proficiency in SAS and R programming; familiarity with other statistical tools is a plus
- Understanding of ICH Guidelines and relevant regulatory requirements
- Advanced knowledge of clinical trial design and analysis; familiarity with Bayesian and adaptive designs preferred
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on detail and quality in statistical reporting
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and manage time effectively
