About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Biostatistician to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a Pharmaceuticals & Biotech environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $134,000 – $179,000 annually
Responsibilities
  • Lead biostatistics representation in project or study teams
  • Define statistical methods and analyze data for clinical plans
  • Train and supervise contract statisticians for quality outcomes
  • Address statistical issues in regulatory and legal contexts
  • Act as a peer reviewer and internal consultant on statistical matters
  • Participate in process improvements and mentor junior biostatisticians
  • Conduct modeling and simulations as required

Qualifications
  • PhD in Biostatistics or equivalent with 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • Expertise in statistical principles and clinical trial methodology
  • Proven capability in providing technical solutions to complex problems
  • Proficient in R, SAS, or comparable statistical software languages
  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines for statistical analysis
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
