About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Business Development - Pharma, Life Sciences & Biotech to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space. This role will support high-impact work that contributes directly to business performance and team success. You will collaborate across functions to move priorities forward, solve complex problems, and deliver measurable outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to influence both strategic direction and day-to-day execution in a fast-moving environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $175,000 – $215,000 annually
Responsibilities
  • Hunt and secure new business in pharma and life sciences sectors
  • Utilize and expand existing network for immediate pipeline generation
  • Position the company’s diverse services portfolio as key solutions for client transformations
  • Develop and execute customized account plans aligned with buying cycles
  • Engage with decision-makers at all client levels to foster trust and secure long-term contracts
  • Coordinate RFPs/RFIs with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive proposals
  • Collaborate with tech partners to create co-sell opportunities and leverage joint strengths

Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience in pharma and life sciences sales
  • Established network with technology leaders in life sciences organizations
  • Proven record of closing enterprise IT services and digital transformation deals
  • Familiarity with complex technology engagements including AI and cybersecurity
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to protect margin
  • Expertise in RFP/RFI processes and cross-team orchestration
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in AI and digital R&D within life sciences
