Role Description
This is a hybrid internship role for an Island Reporter based in Galveston, TX, with partial work-from-home flexibility. The Island Reporter will be responsible for covering local stories, conducting interviews, and writing news reports tailored to the unique interests of the Galveston community. Key responsibilities include multimedia content creation, assisting with newsroom tasks, and collaborating with team members to ensure comprehensive coverage of news and events.

Qualifications
- Strong skills in Reporting, News Writing, and crafting engaging stories
- Excellent Communication and Writing abilities
- Experience with Multimedia tools and techniques
- Self-motivation with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Enthusiasm for community-focused journalism
- Pursuing or holding a degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field is a plus
