We’re seeking a highly experienced and collaborative Senior Construction Manager to lead the execution of a confidential client's capital improvement program in Davie, Florida . This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in dynamic environments, excels at managing large teams, and is passionate about delivering high-impact projects that serve the public good. As the on-site lead, you will oversee the construction of critical community assets such as education facilities, medical centers, and other public-use buildings, managing a workforce of 30–50 staff, ensuring all work aligns with project goals, safety standards, and client expectations. What You'll Do
Serve as the primary lead for all construction activities across multiple vertical infrastructure projects
Manage and coordinate Construction Managers, Inspectors, and contractors, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, budget, and safety protocols
Oversee daily site operations, including logistics, inspections, quality control, and safety compliance
Collaborate closely with the client, Jacobs’ project team, and subconsultants to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution
Lead construction progress meetings, prepare reports, and provide updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor and enforce contract compliance, manage change orders, and support claims resolution
Ensure timely completion of construction milestones and facilitate smooth handover to operations or post-construction teams
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement on-site.
Here's what you'll need
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
20+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with a strong focus on vertical infrastructure (e.g., schools, hospitals, municipal buildings)
Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-contractor construction sites
Strong knowledge of CMAR, Design-Build, and other alternative delivery methods
Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships
Deep understanding of construction contracts, permitting, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ideally, you’ll also have
Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Professional Engineer (PE) license
Experience with tribal, municipal, or federally funded projects
Familiarity with community infrastructure development, including public health and education facilities
Working knowledge of federal compliance requirements and reporting standards.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
