Jacobs is looking for an ITS Network Administrato r to join our collaborative team in Ocoee, FL . You’ll upgrade, configure, and install networking gear to include routers, switches and firewalls and possess networking knowledge of single and multimode fiber optic networks. The network administrator shares the responsibility to maintain a data / video network that supports an Incident Management System 24/7, 365 days a year. This position requires the network administrator to deploy related assets along roadways managed, maintained and operated by the Florida Turnpike Enterprise. The candidate must have experience with Layer 2 & 3 network protocols. In addition to proven networking technical skills, the Network Administrator must possess excellent communications skills. On call 24/7 duties are part of the job.

In this role you’ll also
- Provide hands-on network administration support, network maintenance and operations support
- Recommend networking software and hardware enhancements
- Build, configure, and troubleshoot local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), virtual local area network (VLAN) and other company networks
- Possess knowledge of network protocols such as OSPF, PIM, IGMP, VRRP, etc.
- Diagnose and correct network systems issues
- Utilize software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose complex problems and factors affecting network performance.
- Administer LAN/WAN security and malware control measures
- Build operational Operations and Maintenance (O&M) checklists to maintain the service (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly O&M checklists); build Tactics, Techniques and Processes (TTPs) and Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) associated with service checklists
- Monitoring LAN/WAN-related systems to proactively identify performance and operational issues
- Document and implement approved configuration changes
- Manage access control lists and networking equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on network-related components and equipment

Here's what you'll need
- Minimum of 4 years of networking experience
- Professional certification(s), such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or equivalent, or able to obtain
