Jacobs is looking for an ITS Network Administrato r to join our collaborative team in Ocoee, FL . You’ll upgrade, configure, and install networking gear to include routers, switches and firewalls and possess networking knowledge of single and multimode fiber optic networks. The network administrator shares the responsibility to maintain a data / video network that supports an Incident Management System 24/7, 365 days a year. This position requires the network administrator to deploy related assets along roadways managed, maintained and operated by the Florida Turnpike Enterprise. The candidate must have experience with Layer 2 & 3 network protocols. In addition to proven networking technical skills, the Network Administrator must possess excellent communications skills. Provide hands-on network administration support, network maintenance and operations support
Recommend networking software and hardware enhancements
Build, configure, and troubleshoot local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), virtual local area network (VLAN) and other company networks
Possess knowledge of network protocols such as OSPF, PIM, IGMP, VRRP, etc.
Diagnose and correct network systems issues
Utilize software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose complex problems and factors affecting network performance.
Administer LAN/WAN security and malware control measures
Build operational Operations and Maintenance (O&M) checklists to maintain the service (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly O&M checklists); build Tactics, Techniques and Processes (TTPs) and Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) associated with service checklists
Monitoring LAN/WAN-related systems to proactively identify performance and operational issues
Document and implement approved configuration changes
Manage access control lists and networking equipment
Perform routine maintenance on network-related components and equipment

Minimum of 4 years of networking experience
Professional certification(s), such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or equivalent, or able to obtain
