Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, passionate Travel Advisor to join our remote team. In this client-facing role, you’ll conduct in depth interviews with prospective travelers to uncover their interests, preferences, and travel styles. You’ll then collaborate with our Italy-based team to design fully custom itineraries that meet and exceed our clients’ expectations. This position requires deep knowledge of both U.S. traveler preferences and the nuances of travel in Italy, including regional cultures, logistics, and seasonality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed discovery calls with prospective clients to understand their travel goals, preferences, and budget.
• Translate client input into custom Italy itineraries in collaboration with our Italian team and local partners.
• Serve as the client’s main point of contact throughout the planning process, delivering outstanding, timely communication and service.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and trip details using our CRM and itinerary building tools.
• Stay current on Italian travel trends, cultural events, new experiences, and luxury properties.
• Support trip modifications and troubleshoot issues that may arise before or during travel in coordination with the on-the-ground team.
• Contribute to process improvement and internal team knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
• Firsthand travel experience in Italy (multiple visits strongly preferred); knowledge of Italian regions, cities, and logistics is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with discerning clients.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly articulate ideas, options, and recommendations.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable using CRM platforms, itinerary software, and cloud-based tools.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects at once while meeting deadlines.
• A passion for Italy, culture, food, and delivering unforgettable experiences.
Preferred (Not Required):
• 2+ years of experience in travel advising, itinerary planning, or luxury service roles.
• Located in Middle Tennessee
• Fluency in Italian (spoken and written).
• Background in Italian studies, cultural anthropology, or hospitality.
• Italian heritage or dual citizenship.
• Previous experience working with international partners or remote teams.
