Intrinsic is seeking a skilled, self-motivated Technical Project Manager with prior experience in large enterprise, who is ready to rethink and revolutionize how things are done. This position requires a high-performing individual who takes real ownership and consistently delivers for the mission. Someone who acts without needing direction, is comfortable operating outside their comfort zone, leads by example, and holds themselves to a high standard of accountability.
Intrinsic is an innovative, fast-moving small business supporting the Department of Defense/War. This position will work directly with the CEO and CTO. You won’t be insulated from decision-making, but be in the room, contributing, learning how the business operates, and helping shape direction in real time. This is a rare opportunity to work alongside the founders and see how a technology company is built from the inside.
In this role, you will lead highly talented engineering teams to build modern AI applications, custom machine learning systems, and containerized edge solutions for the aerospace and defense sector. You’ll partner directly with engineers and end users to deliver impactful products from the ground up.
This role comes with high expectations. You’ll be expected to move quickly, think critically, and execute across multiple domains. You will support business development with technical depth, engage directly with customers, present in high-visibility settings, develop technical solutions and proposals, and lead engineering teams to deliver mission-critical capabilities.

What You’ll Do:
- Translate client needs into clear, actionable technology requirements
- Own and continuously refine the product backlog, prioritizing for maximum impact
- Lead Agile ceremonies and remove blockers to keep teams moving
- Work closely with the Intrinsic Leadership and Chief Technology Officer
- Guide and support a high-performing team of software engineers in an Agile setting
- Drive the design, development, and delivery of new products in an emerging market
- Support business development efforts with technical expertise
- Engage directly with customers and stakeholders
- Develop and present technical solutions and proposals
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical capabilities
- Dive in and never stop growing your skills in the latest technology
Minimum qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing rising talent in software technology
- Impeccable time management
- Strong organizational skills and accountability in decision-making
- Proven ability to operate in collaborative, high-performance environments
- Experience delivering production software systems
- Familiarity with web applications and microservice architectures
- Experience with one or more programming languages (e.g., C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, Go)
- Experience using Git in team environments
- Background in areas such as DevSecOps, distributed systems, secure software, or application development
- U.S. Citizenship
Preferred qualifications:
- Active Top Secret clearance, with SCI eligibility
- Master's degree in Computer Science, or related field
- Agile Scrum certifications
- Experience defining, building and continuously shipping production-grade product releases
- Experience in software development using Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization strategies
- Experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning, leveraging AI agents for software development productivity
- 5+ years of software development experience (backend / algorithms preferred)
- Experience with modeling and simulation software
- 3+ years web application, API-driven, service-oriented architecture experience
- Experience with Agile, Lean, or Continuous Delivery (e.g., XP)
- Curiosity and ability to quickly learn emerging technologies
