Apply knowledge of quality policies and practices to develop, document, and maintain quality systems and operating procedures.
Ability to plan and coordinate improvements in manufacturing.
Ability to perform design reviews to ensure that quality is engineered into the product and tool.
Apply knowledge of engineering (e.g. manufacturing, tooling, quality, and statistics, etc.) to analyze requirements of contracts, drawings and specifications to develop plans for the application of quality disciplines to processes.
Skill in process improvement methodologies (i.e. root cause analysis) to plan and coordinate process improvements.
Perform APQP process in-order to identify risk and mitigating risk using tools such as PFD, PFMEA and CP
Collaborate with stakeholders - Present recommendation for risk mitigation
Track the recommendations from inception till the implementation and their results
Participates in design and product reviews to ensure that producibility, inspect ability, reliability, safety, Quality System integrity, and business process management objectives are met
Performs such research as benchmarking to industry standards; analyzes and compiles performance reports and process control statistics to determine and improve process capability or product quality
Ability to ensure sequenced inspection control points, create and maintain inspection accountability systems.
Ability to identify, evaluate and implement preventative measures, corrective action, procedural changes, process improvements and present resultant findings.
Requirements:
2+ years of related experience is required
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of related experience (preferably in Aerospace or equivalent manufacturing industry)
