Compensation Range $65,000 – $80,000 annually , based on experience and qualifications.

Position Overview
The AV Field Commissioning Specialist is responsible for onsite validation, testing, optimization, and final commissioning of professional audiovisual systems to ensure performance aligns with design intent, project specifications, and AVIXA-aligned industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform point-to-point testing of AV system components
• Validate signal paths including EDID, HDCP, gain structure, and routing accuracy
• Test and troubleshoot DSPs and Q-SYS/Crestron/Extron control systems
• Configure and verify IP-addressable devices and AV-over-IP networks
• Conduct audio calibration (EQ, delay, SPL, STI) and video optimization
• Commission Unified Conferencing systems
• Build and dress equipment racks; perform cabling and termination
• Install, terminate, and validate infrastructure cabling
• Document commissioning results and punch lists
• Provide client training and coordinate with project management
Required Qualifications
• Strong understanding of audio, video, and control signal flow
• Experience with QSC, Biamp, Crestron, Extron, or similar platforms
• Ability to diagnose complex AV system issues
• Proficiency with AV test and calibration tools
• Networking knowledge relevant to AV systems
• Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
• AVIXA CTS certification
• Manufacturer’s certifications
• 5+ years of AV commissioning or integration experience
