ROLE OVERVIEW
The Test Engineer will sit at the intersection of customer engagement and product development. You will work directly with customer test engineers to understand their test execution environments, data structures, and integration challenges — and then help build, configure, and refine the integrations that bring test data into InsightStream.ai. This role is both customer-facing and hands-on in the product, giving you direct influence over how the platform connects to real test systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Test Discovery
· Engage directly with customer test engineers to map test execution workflows, data sources, and system architectures.
· Understand test equipment, automation frameworks, and how test results are currently stored and used.
· Identify where InsightStream.ai can connect to test systems and unlock measurable insight value.
Test Execution Integration
· Build and configure integrations between customer test systems and the InsightStream.ai platform.
· Work with data from NI, Keysight, custom test rigs, JTAG, MES, and similar environments.
· Validate integration outputs, ensure data fidelity, and support customers through deployment and go-live.
Product Contribution
· Translate integration patterns and customer feedback into clear product requirements.
· Help define connector architecture, data schemas, and integration standards across customer environments.
· Collaborate with the product architect to improve reliability, scalability, and coverage of test system integrations.
Customer Success
· Serve as the technical point of contact for test engineers during onboarding and integration phases.
· Help customers interpret and act on insights derived from their test data.
· Capture lessons from each integration to build repeatable playbooks and reduce delivery time.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
· 3+ years in a test engineering, applications engineering, or integration engineering role.
· Hands-on experience with test execution systems, test data, and automation frameworks.
· Ability to read, write, and troubleshoot code in Python, C#, LabVIEW, or similar.
· Comfort working directly with customers — explaining technical concepts clearly.
· Strong problem-solving skills in environments with complex or undocumented data structures.
Preferred
· Experience with NI TestStand, LabVIEW, Keysight, or similar test platforms.
· Familiarity with MES, QMS, or manufacturing data environments.
· Background in precision manufacturing, photonics, electronics, or industrial automation.
· Experience with REST APIs, SQL, or data pipeline tools for test data extraction.
· Experience with cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
· Exposure to AI, analytics, or BI tools applied to test and quality data.
