Requisition 202600128ST Title Student Assistant - Technology Focused (COM) Employee Class Student Employee College Work Study Position No Department COM Educational Affairs Division Division of Academic Affairs Hiring Rate 13.00 Nature & Purpose Of Position As an Information Technology Student Assistant in the College of Osteopathic Medicine, you will support the Academic Technology team and Educational in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing technology systems that enhance teaching, learning, and daily operations. This role provides hands-on experience with enterprise academic technologies, classroom support, and user assistance for faculty, staff, and students. You will assist with tasks such as basic technical support, equipment setup, software troubleshooting, and documentation of processes and guides. This position may also support learning platforms, classroom technologies, and emerging tools used across the college. The preferred candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver with a strong interest in technology and customer support. We are looking for someone who can work independently, communicate effectively with a variety of users, and demonstrate a strong professional drive and commitment to supporting the SHSU-COM mission. This is a fast-paced, service-oriented role that may involve daily technical requests and varied responsibilities. Other Requirements For The Position Preferred experience with Microsoft 360, basic troubleshooting of Windows, and familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard).
