Innophos is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Nashville, TN. In this role, you'll lead electrical capital projects, from design to commissioning, focusing on control systems and power distribution. You'll support engineering teams and plants on projects aimed at improving safety, reducing energy costs, enhancing infrastructure, and increasing capacity. Key Responsibilities
Develops the scope of work, cost estimates and schedules for capital projects and engineering studies. Generates ideas and proposes projects that will improve the manufacturing performance of the company
Manages detailed electrical and control system designs and writes construction bid packages
Evaluates/selects electrical and controls equipment and outside contract services
Reviews contractor field work, monitors safe work practices, issues work permits
Prepares capital funding requests including HS&E evaluations and MOC reports
Prepares purchase requisitions, plant work orders, monthly cost /project status reports
Provides assistance to plant personnel and outside contractors to troubleshoot problems
Provides assistance on capital projects
Supports company initiatives for electrical and control systems applications
Required Education And Experience
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferably in electrical or control systems)
Experience: At least 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (experience in the chemical industry is a plus)
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Practical knowledge of electrical distribution and control systems. Siemens or Allen Bradley experience preferred
Familiarity with electrical field construction methods and safe work practices
Demonstrated ability and growth potential to progress to a leadership position within the organization
Good verbal/written communication and organizational skills
Project cost estimating and scheduling ability
Proficient in using engineering and business-related computer software
Able to read and create one line and loop drawings
Experienced in, or the ability to learn PI asset intelligence
Environmental And/or Physical Requirements
Frequent plant field visits
Ascending or descending stairs, ladders
