Company Description The Humane Society of Greater Miami is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a safe haven for animals. As a limited-admit, adoption-guarantee shelter, animals in our care are free from the threat of euthanasia due to time, space, or treatable medical conditions. We do not receive government funding and rely on community donations, programs, services, and grants to fulfill our mission. Guided by our passion for animal welfare, we strive to create a compassionate community and emphasize that “Every day is Caturday,” “Doing Good Feels Good,” and “Big Dogs Snuggle More.” Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in North Miami Beach, FL, for a Director of Development. The Director will lead and execute fundraising strategies, develop relationships with donors, manage planned giving and annual giving campaigns, and oversee philanthropic initiatives. Key responsibilities include managing fundraising budgets, cultivating donor engagement, and implementing initiatives to achieve revenue goals that support the organization's mission. Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Planned Giving and Annual Giving strategies
Experience in Philanthropy and developing donor relationships
Strong skills in Fundraising techniques and initiatives
Knowledge of Budgeting processes and financial management for nonprofit organizations
Proven leadership, organizational, and communication abilities
Proficiency in fundraising software and CRM platforms is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Passion for animal welfare and alignment with the organization's mission
