Position Summary The buyer/planners for Hercules OEM are responsible for all the planning and purchase order creation related duties associated with the review, scheduling, analyzing and planning of the company part numbers. Duties And Responsibilities
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, in addition to staying up to date with requirements to maintain exemplary standards of health and safety across all work areas.
Process workflows for new part set-up
Analyze purchase requisitions and place corresponding purchase orders
Manage material plans, swiftly react to changes in demand, and expedite when needed
Point of contact for assigned suppliers, both domestic and international
Manage supplier relationships, inventory levels, and high SKU counts
Monitor delivery and quality performance
Capable of working both independently and in a team environment
Make cost effective decisions and implement cost reduction ideas/projects
Always work respectfully, ethically, and with integrity
Support safety and environmental initiatives
Identify inaccurate part settings
Execute supplier resourcing projects
Perform other duties as assigned
Education, Skills, And Responsibilities
Two-year business degree or related discipline preferred
Three years related experience required
Competent using Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Teams
Experience with Dynamics 365 (D365), Power BI, and SharePoint is a bonus
Ability to prioritize tasks, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
Excellent communicator, critical thinker, team player, positive outlook, open-minded, organized, dependable, ambitious, and motivated to drive change through continuous improvement
