The Role
• Own and champion the enterprise Web Application Firewall (WAF), shaping its strategy, patterns, and standards.
• Analyze and refine WAF rules to enhance protective measures for public-facing sites and APIs.
• Collaborate on long-term WAF strategy, including technology standards, architectural patterns, and security roadmaps.
• Author and maintain runbooks, playbooks, and threat-specific WAF tuning strategies.
• Lead the creation and continuous improvement of automated detection and triggers.
• Propose and review plans to enhance the overall security environment.
What You'll Need
• Bachelor's degree and 6 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 4 years in cybersecurity with at least 2 years managing enterprise WAF solutions.
• Expert-level experience architecting, implementing, and operating enterprise WAF solutions.
• Deep understanding of network traffic routing, DNS, HTTP/S, and edge services.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineering teams.
• Proficiency in Python and Terraform, with experience in Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
