About the role

Hakoware by Harvest Pack Inc is a leading manufacturer and distributor of eco-friendly food packaging solutions, supplying restaurant and food service providers nationwide. We are seeking a Director of Operations to serve as the architect of our internal engine.
This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for the end-to-end operational lifecycle—from strategic demand planning and supply chain management to logistics execution and systems optimization. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between sales forecasts and physical delivery, ensuring we maintain a path to scalable growth, superior service reliability, and working capital efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Strategy & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Act as the primary architect for the company’s operational workflows, translating high-level business goals into executable departmental plans.
  • Lead the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) cadence, aligning Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure the organization is prepared for growth.
  • Serve as a key member of the leadership team, providing data-driven insights to improve margin and customer experience.

2. Supply Chain & Inventory Optimization
  • Own the demand planning function and forecast governance to ensure product availability meets customer needs.
  • Establish and manage safety stocks, reorder points, and inventory targets across all nodes.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce stockouts and excess inventory while improving inventory turns and cash flow predictability.

3. Logistics & Fulfillment Excellence
  • Direct inbound and outbound logistics strategies, including carrier selection and 3PL performance management.
  • Control freight spend and optimize transit reliability, minimizing emergency freight costs.
  • Oversee customs, documentation compliance, and international shipping protocols to ensure a seamless global supply chain.

4. Systems & Process Governance
  • Own the effectiveness of the ERP and WMS platforms, ensuring data integrity and system utilization across the team.
  • Establish and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build a disciplined, scalable operational environment.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar) to eliminate waste and improve fulfillment speed.

Requirements & Experience
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, supply chain, or logistics, preferably within a distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Strategic Planning: Proven track record of leading cross-functional S&OP processes and demand planning.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced experience with ERP and WMS systems is required; ability to leverage data for decision-making is essential.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of how operational decisions impact the P&L, specifically regarding inventory carrying costs and logistics spend.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Why Join Us?
  • Impact: This is a mission-critical role where your work directly affects revenue, margin, and the sustainability of the food service industry.
  • Growth: We offer a clear path to VP-level leadership for high performers who demonstrate the ability to scale our operations effectively.
  • Culture: Join a team dedicated to eco-friendly solutions and professional excellence.

Benefits
  • 401(k) with company match
