Job Title: Financial Analyst Location: New York, NY (Downtown, On-site) Salary Range: $90,000 – $115,000 annually Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support capital planning, financial reporting, and project tracking activities. This role will assist with maintaining financial data, analyzing project performance, and supporting budgeting and reporting processes. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working with large datasets while partnering with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
Support updates to capital plans, including project cost, schedule, and spending data
Maintain and update Excel trackers and financial reports on a regular basis
Perform basic variance analysis and highlight key differences in project spending
Assist in preparing reports and summaries for leadership review
Monitor project spending against budgets and assist in identifying potential risks or gaps
Support onboarding of new projects into tracking systems and spreadsheets
Assist with review of project documentation to ensure alignment with budgets and plans
Maintain organized and accurate financial data in Excel and internal systems
Help build and update spreadsheets, templates, and trackers used by multiple stakeholders
Support data entry, validation, and cleanup to ensure accuracy
Work with internal teams to collect and verify financial and project data
Assist in coordinating updates and maintaining communication across departments
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field
1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, project support, or similar role
Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data organization
Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and large datasets
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
Experience with SharePoint or similar document management tools
Exposure to financial systems or project tracking tools
Interest in capital planning, infrastructure, or project-based environments
