Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Logistics Coordinator to support logistics activities within a large-scale project environment. This role will act as a key interface between procurement, expediting, inspection, and logistics teams to ensure smooth coordination, shipment visibility, and timely delivery of materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with logistics service providers to track and monitor shipment status
- Identify and escalate potential delays or risks impacting delivery timelines
- Support freight quote requests and logistics forecasting activities
- Prepare and maintain logistics reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Assist in resolving freight invoice and payment-related issues
- Collaborate with project teams to support logistics strategies for equipment movement
- Investigate process non-compliance, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of logistics processes
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including procurement, expediting, and vendors
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field OR 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in project logistics or supply chain coordination
- Strong understanding of shipment tracking, reporting, and vendor coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting capital or mega projects (EPC, oil & gas, construction, etc.)
- Exposure to freight forwarding or logistics contract management
- Familiarity with SAP or Smart Materials
- Experience working in multicultural or global project environments
