Senior Quality / Data Analysis Engineer
This is 6-month assignment in Jamestown, North Dakota
FlexTrades has paid travel time, paid lodging, and per diem.
Pay: $60 - 65/hr plus guaranteed 10 hrs OT pay each week (overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate)
Job description:
This is not a pure analyst role. We’re looking for a hands-on quality engineer who understands machining processes and can translate CMM data into actionable improvements.
FlexTrades is seeking a Senior Quality / Data Analysis Engineer who blends aerospace manufacturing expertise with advanced data analysis skills to reduce scrap and improve producibility in complex CMM machining operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze CMM inspection data to identify trends, variation, and root causes
  • Use advanced Excel (expert level) to build dashboards tracking feature performance across part families
  • Apply SPC and statistical methods to evaluate process capability and drive improvements
  • Partner with Manufacturing, NC Programming, and Quality teams to reduce scrap and rework
  • Assess producibility and tolerance opportunities for machined aerospace components
  • Translate data insights into real shop-floor improvements

Required Qualifications
  • Senior-level Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Aerospace background preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills (data modeling, dashboards, visualization)
  • Hands-on experience with CMM data analysis
  • Strong machining knowledge + producibility/manufacturability experience
  • Solid understanding of GD&T and tight-tolerance machining, preferably in aerospace or similarly regulated industries.
  • Deep understanding of SPC / statistical analysis / dimensional data interpretation
  • Ability to connect data + Support CAPA activities - root cause - process improvement
  • Familiarity with AS9100 environment (certification administration not required).
  • Scrap reduction experience is nice to have

Pay and Benefits:
  • Pay: $60 - 65 per hour
  • Guaranteed 50 hrs each week. Overtime pay is over 40 hrs & paid at time and a half
  • Access to a full suite of benefits
