**About The Opportunity**

The Communications Manager leads the development and execution of internal and external communications, including newsletters, organizational announcements, M&A activity, and marketing collateral, while supporting lead generation initiatives. This role ensures consistent, engaging messaging that strengthens brand presence and aligns with business goals. Additionally, this role will be critical in supporting overall growth within our business.

**Job Duties**

- Execute communication strategies across internal and external channels.

- Manage internal communications, including employee messaging and engagement initiatives.

- Oversee external communications such as announcements, press materials, and brand messaging.

- Plan, write, and distribute internal and external newsletters.

- Create and maintain marketing collateral for presentations, sales collateral, brochures.

- Partner with the Lead Generation Specialist to support campaigns through content creation (emails, landing pages, etc).

- Create consistent messaging across all platforms and audiences.

**Qualifications**

- 5+ years of experience in communications or content marketing.

- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related role.

- Strong writing, editing, and content development skills.

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva for developing and editing marketing and communications materials.

- Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging, and visually compelling messaging.

- Experience managing multiple communication channels and projects.

- Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM tools preferred.

- Service industry experience (fire protection or security a plus).

**Compensation**

- This is a salaried position - salary is negotiable depending on candidate experience

**About The Opportunity**

Fire Systems of Michigan is seeking a Marketing & Lead Generation Specialist who can take ownership of HubSpot as a core revenue-driving engine, focusing on driving revenue growth as a key performance metric. This role goes beyond campaign execution, it focuses on improving systems, solving workflow and data challenges, and driving measurable pipeline growth through targeted lead generation strategies.

The Marketing & Lead Generation Specialist role will serve as the HubSpot expert responsible for improving automation, segments, and building email programs that convert and expand revenue opportunities across both new and existing customers.

**Job Duties**

Email Marketing

- Manage HubSpot as the email marketing platform, ensuring it's optimized, integrated, and driving opportunities to the sales team across the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest locations.

- Develop, execute, and continually improve email campaigns to nurture leads and generate sales opportunities.

- Cross-sell and retarget existing customer database of over 80,000 B2B contacts.

- Develop customer journey mapping to improve engagement and conversion rates.

- Build segmented lists and targeted sequences that improve engagement and conversion.

- Run A/B testing on subject lines, email content, and CTAs to refine performance.

- Monitor deliverability, engagement metrics, and campaign analytics.

CRM, Data, & Reporting

- Ensure HubSpot, Salesforce, and CRM are fully integrated, with data flow and accurate reporting.

- Troubleshoot workflow issues, sync errors, and automation breakdowns.

- Maintain clean and accurate lead data across platforms.

- Generate reports on campaign performance, lead quality, and funnel health to guide strategy.

**Qualifications**

- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in HubSpot including email marketing, automation, workflows, segmentation, and reporting.

- Proven success designing and optimizing B2B email campaigns that generate measurable pipeline and revenue growth.

- Strong collaboration skills with Sales teams to ensure marketing efforts align with revenue goals.

- Analytical mindset using HubSpot and Salesforce.

- Excellent copywriting skills for conversion-focused emails.

- Service industry experience (fire protection or security a plus).
