Job Summary The Picker/Order Selector III will be responsible for filling customer orders and preparing orders for shipment according to company standards, including but not limited to; RF scanners, warehouse management systems, printers, conveyors, and label applicators in preparation for items shipped. This position requires hands-on experience picking, packaging, labeling, dating, and shipping products to customers. Obtains merchandise from bins or shelves and ensures all orders filled are complete and correct. May be required to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and wire carts. Picker/Order Selector III is required to know all operations within the various Pick, Pack, and Ship functional areas as well as monitor the workload in those areas. Requirements Supervisory Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe work environment
Assign work based on the production schedule
Provide feedback on work performance
Communicate clear instructions and train new staff
Monitor production quality and quantity
Report daily results to the supervisor
Ensure basic questions/issues from staff are addressed or elevated to supervisor
Communicate and coordinate with other areas of the department as needed
Duties/Responsibilities
Accurately perform systematic inventory transactions using a computer or handheld
device to pick and pack customer orders
Prepare orders by packing boxes; and placing orders in the delivery area for pickup
Fill all customer orders accurately and on time
Ensure a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, packing area, and
workstations neat; as well as maintaining clean shipping and supply areas
Fold and pack filters according to work instructions and inventory requirements
Swiftly move materials between workstations using pallet jacks or carts
Execute any other assigned duties promptly and effectively
Proficiency in multiple and/or all functional operational areas within the Distribution
department
Ability to assist in on-the-job training for newly hired staff
