About The Role As a Senior Software Developer within CoverMyMeds Specialty Access and Affordability, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and delivering innovative software solutions that directly impact patient access to medications. Your work will support essential workflows such as prior authorization, affordability programs, and patient enrollment, ensuring that patients receive the necessary therapies without undue delay. You will operate as a senior individual contributor, taking ownership of meaningful technical work from inception through deployment. Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams, you will develop scalable, cloud-native solutions that meet high standards of quality and operational stability. Design, develop, test, and deploy features and services that support McKesson's Specialty Access and Affordability products, including our FHIR-based data platform.
Own the delivery of complex features end-to-end, from requirements gathering through implementation, testing, and operational readiness.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while adhering to engineering standards and best practices.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, surfacing risks and dependencies early in the process.
Participate actively in design discussions, code reviews, and sprint planning, providing constructive feedback and innovative ideas.
Share knowledge through mentorship, pairing sessions, and informal coaching to foster team growth and technical excellence.
