About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Local Superintendent to oversee ground-up food processing and cold storage industrial projects within the central Chicago area. This role is essential in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing daily onsite operations, coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and project teams, and ensuring that all phases of construction adhere to project schedules and budgets. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a proven track record in managing food processing and cold storage light industrial projects. A bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if compensated by extensive relevant experience. Strong leadership and team management skills are essential, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to foster positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Candidates should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, including scheduling, budgeting, safety regulations, and quality control.
