About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is pivotal in managing and executing various accounting functions that support our company's financial health and compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing month-end close activities, managing fixed asset transactions, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and preparing financial reports. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to interpret complex financial data. The Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and integrity in financial reporting, contributing to the strategic financial planning of ATS. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field, complemented by at least two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, and advanced knowledge of accounting principles are essential. Effective communication, organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail are critical for success in this role. Desirable qualifications include CPA or CMA certifications and the ability to communicate effectively across various stakeholders. Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role include performing various month-end close functions, including preparing journal entries and consolidating financial data. The Accountant will lead the purchase and disposal processes for fixed assets, ensuring proper journal entries and conducting detailed analysis. Reconciling balance sheet accounts such as general and administrative expenses, intercompany transactions, and work-in-progress (WIP) accounts is crucial to maintain accurate financial records. The role also involves supporting various financial projects, answering profit and loss inquiries, and interpreting accounting records, reports, and statements to provide insights into the company's financial position. Additionally, the Accountant will document business transactions to meet audit requirements and analyze financial information related to assets, liabilities, and capital. Preparing comprehensive financial reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other relevant statements to reflect the company's current and projected financial health is a core part of the responsibilities.
